Big dramatic clouds on the horizon here - pitch black at the bottom with
brilliant sunshine lighting up the fluffy white tops. We were awakened
by a brief hailstorm but at the moment it's clear directly overhead,
very cold and windy.

Picture my snow-covered back slope with a flock of wild turkeys.
They are prehistoric-looking. One large tom perched on a low
tree-limb and seesawed back and forth as if he couldn't keep
his balance. After a couple of minutes of this, he finally hopped
down.
Sunny and cold today, but we were lucky that we didn't get
clobbered like those not far south of us.
