hi, ceres,
the sambac is a great--if somewhat unruly--plant. that's the jasmine of jasmine tea and jasmine rice. most in the trade are double [diploid?] or triple [triploid/] flowers, which give up fragrance and essential oils for petal form. tis a pity. the original is wonderful.
