Perspective may skew this, but it seems like it doesn't quite - seems like
the prices always go up immediately upon any news in that direction, and
seem to go down very slowly a few days to a week-plus after news in that
direction. And I don't blame the folks running the stations - my
understanding is that generally the station's profit margin is quite slim,
and they are charging according to what their supplier is charging them.
In my glove compartment I keep a log of gas purchases and maintenance for my
cars (one of those things I started when I first got a car and just never
stopped). It is interesting sometimes to page back through it and look at
prices and locations. (And when my gas mileage drops 2 mpg I know the car
needs an oil change - weird but true.)
I wish I had a notebook like that for my gardens - where's the yard's glove
compartment?
