Hmmm, well I will try it then. I just LOVE the look of those feathery plumes...and such pretty colors. I have a covered front and back porch and wanted to plant something with color. I tried impatients last year but they just didn't quite do it for me. Maybe these will. THANKS!

I have astilbe in my yard and have moved several from prior houses. So,
they are fairly unkillable in my experience, I think a big pot would work- I
say go for it!

I have not ever planted Astilbe, but want to. I don't have shade in my yard
(yet..trees are too small) but wondered if they do well in large pots on a
shaded porch. Have any of you ever done this? I'd love to hear from you if
