Re: Happy Birthday!

Well, I just told my husband today that I have made an "executive decision" for the household. We will have somebody come in to help clean this house 2-3 times a month...and if I have to pay for it, I will. And when the kids want money for something they "need"...I'm just going to say, "gee, I don't have the cash for it right now because I paid for somebody to come and clean up after you..and they didn't roll their eyes when I asked them to either. See they get paid for what they do. I give you money for the things you NEED and in return, I expect you to pull your weight around here...when you don't, I handle it by hiring somebody to do it...and I spent your allowance doing it". I am not going to gripe or complain anymore. I'm just going to "handle it". There is something to be said for time to do the things you enjoy...and letting others do the stuff I don't want to do.
