I ran on to a product called vine-x.  The web site is:www.vine-x.com.  It
gets rid of a large number of unwanted vines in a very tidy manner.  I've
found that it is absolutely safe and predictable when used according to it's
instructions.  And, by the way, I don't have any stock in the company.  It's
just a real good product.  Good Luck, Rich in Z5 where it is raining(about 2
inches) and has been for a day and a half.

No, but as far behind as I am, and with daytime temps 40-55 F, can't stand
to look at it any more. This time of year we usually prune the grapes. I've
resisted pulling leaves off the shadier beds. Don't know how much longer I
can hold out. Daffodils are up 2 - 5 inches. If I leave them under leaves,
they'll flop later.
I've been concentrating on the perennial weeds and grass creeping in. And
will need to do battle with the blackberry seedling behind the neighbor's
shed. How did you get rid of yours Rich? That and a rose seeding that comes
back from every bit of root I miss, grr.
Trend is warmer earlier the past few years. If we don't get some
precipitation, we're in for drought again.
