Never thought of it that way, but I guess not. Most of the year, however, the Jamaican cherry is producing fruit, so it with the oranges would probably cover it. But it's interesting to have all this variety. Keeps the palate from becoming jaded.

was here and just pointed out--as he was chowing down--that the loquats
are beginning to fruit. Bumper crop, it looks like this year. Lots of
loquat cobblers, pies, and out-of-hand treats in the next 4 or 5 weeks.
The interesting thing is some of the seedlings are producing larger
fruit this year than the grafted variety did last year. Don't know what
that means yet; our grafted variety normally runs 3 to 4 weeks behind
our seedlings. All of them are still loaded with flower buds that have
not opened.
