I, too, would love the info. Haven't had a hibiscus in a while, but I experienced the problem when I did.

Hey Ceres
I think the idea that Hibs need humidity is an erroneous one. Hibs do
very
well here in Ca. even out in the desert, like Palm Springs and I have
several customers in Arizona and elsewhere that are very, very dry. There
are many reasons why hibs lose their leaves but I won't bore anybody with
that on the list. If you need any ideas let me know and I'll bore just
you
with some info.

David, I have 4 hibs (a yellow std, a db white, a db rose & a
yellow/orange)
which I have had for a long time. I do not get blooms in the winter and
it is
a challenge to maintain foliage. I think that is due to the lack of
humidty,
however, I prune back in early spring, set them outdoors & they are
worththe effort. Ceres--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
