I looked on a few websites as I didn't know how hardy Osmanthus is. I read
that most of the species seem to do well in the warmer zones, but
O.heterophyllus can take temperatures of 10 degrees or less. My
O.heterophyllus Goshiki has been growing here for six years. It's only about
40" tall and about 30" in diameter. Roslyn nursery where I purchased it has
it listed for Zone 7. It is a slow grower.
