Well, adult ivies are cool.  I remember the first time I ever saw one
- in the UK - had no idea what on earth it was.  Now I have my own
way up in trees:-)

I managed to strike a cutting of a branch once and have a small adult
ivy shrub which seems to be hanging in there tho' it has not bloomed.
 They are as hardy as the cultivar they came from - will be evergreen
unless it's too cold where you are and they defoliate.  Flower
clusters are quite neat, really.  I've seen pix of some that were
really striking but never that kind in person.  The leaf form is what
throws you as it changes totally when the plants mature.
