Re: now agastache
I was generalizing on the common name, sorry. It is called Korean Mint,
Korean Hyssop, or Wrinkled Giant Hyssop. I got the seed years ago labeled
that way and then when I went to donate it for the seed sale, had trouble
finding details on it. However, it seems to be staging a comeback. I see
High Country Gardens is carrying it, but they refer to the species name as
masculine, A. rugosum, and they show it hardy zones 5-9.

However, judging by HCG's description, my seed could have been mislabeled as
my plants are at least 3 ft tall but do look much like the photos. It self
sows. I hadn't planted it for years and had been pulling the few
volunteers, but let this one go ahead last year. I was quite glad I did. I
loved watching those finches on it.
I could send you some seed. The finches got a lot, but I was able to
collect plenty. Not as much as other times I collected it though because we
were pretty wet here last fall.
