I meant to add my congratulations to that Pam (paying off the mortgage) that is AWESOME! Too bad there is a burn ban on. You could always use an ashtray in the house. LOL!

Paying off the house!  How wonderful!
Around here people tend to go ahead and get another mortgage anyway if
the rates are low so they can keep what is called a homestead exemption.
If you have no mortgage you lose the exemption and your property taxes
double...or something like that. I've never paid a house off so I can't
say from experience.
