Windy, 12 F at 6 am in Idaho's "banana belt" mmmmhm, right. 30F at 11 am. Sunny, still windy, 28 F at 3 pm. Dry blowing snow last night, just a skiff, but 6 traffic accidents in 45 minutes. I don't want to know the windchill, trying to figure out teleportation so I can deliver my paperwork without having to leave the house. unsuccessful so far.

Not Noreen, but when I went to bed at 11 last night it was 64 F. When I
woke up to take the dogs on their constitutional this a.m., it was 30 F with
21 mph winds, gusts to 40 mph and wind chills around 17 for now. Our
coldest weather of the year will be Sunday and we won't see above freezing
until at least Tuesday. (The dogs took their time outside yesterday but
this morning, they made the "walk" in record time.) The dogs woke Bill up
at 4:00 this a.m. We had a gust close to 50mph that blew open the garage
walk in door that in turn blew open the back connecting door into the garage
from the house. The furnace had gone to stage two (full tilt) and was
barely keeping the house at 64 F. Poor Bill had some work to do on the
locks to keep that from happening again. Didn't find any trees or major
branches down this a.m. Which is a blessing.
Noreen, I sure do hope you stay on the warmer side where you are or it will
get even colder here!!!
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)

We are going to drop down to the lower 60's ( to upper 50's) with lows in the lower 50's (to upper 40's). I'm glad. We had our one night of winter last week when that norther blew down. Hope that is the end of it now.....everything is in full bloom, hate to lose it all. The slight freeze last week didn't do any harm except to the blooming Brugmansia. The blooms are shot. It's in a bad spot though, wide open. The other one did great. Oh well....everything else did well.
