RE: ice
I'm glad you are playing it safe, Pam. There are tricks to driving on snow,
but ice is another matter all together. I've seen cars that were sitting
still slide sideways off the road after a little wind hit the side of the
car. Unless you've got studded tires (and in the south, who would need
them?) it's difficult to safely get around.
It was a little warmer here this morning-13 F--when we took the dogs out
this morning. It should make it up to freezing for a high. God willing,
we'll get above freezing (33 or so) tomorrow and into the 40's by Wednesday.
Then they are predicting more freezing weather/rain/freezing/rain and
finally snow for Saturday and Sunday. That's Dayton for you. It saves all
the good weather for the middle of the week when most folk need to work and
the really rotten weather for when most folks would like to do travel or
outside activities. Of such is life.
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)

Well I just emailed my boss. It's an ice skating rink here and I'm not
about to become a statistic.
It's foggy too. Forget about it. That's what personal days are for. And I
can't afford a wreck, I'm going to Oklahoma this coming weekend.
