I've done both. But usually I do leaf cuttings; if I notch the leaf ribs in a few places and keep the wounds in contact with the vermiculite [I use bobby pins], I'll get a bunch of plants rather than one.

My guess is you propagate it like other begonias--whole or partial leaf cuttings. Never tried it with carolinifolia, but it worked with all other begonias that I've tried.

Jim, I would love that but I do have carolinifolia and love the foliage.
