I'm glad your mother is doing better, and that you've found a rehab for her.
Are you going to be in downtown Atlanta? If so, depending on your interests,
you might like the Atlanta Botanical Garden, The Atlanta History Center
(also has a nice garden- mostly natives), or the Georgia Aquarium (all on my
favorites list). If you're going to be on the north side, Roswell has an
amazing historic district, with several antebellum homes and a former
plantation. Stone Mountain is east. It has a good museum, amazing
sculpture - carved out of the mountain, a good hike up to the top of the
mountain, a tram if you don't want to hike it, and a reconstructed
plantation. There's also a lake and good walking trails.
Don't go to Underground and don't go out by yourself at night if you're
downtown.
I wish I could meet you and take you around, but I just had round 5 of
Supartz injections in my knees. Between them and having to use the canes or
crutches, the bone spurs in my shoulders have ripped the c@#$ out of my
rotator cuffs, so I can't walk much or drive. Maybe on your next trip?

Hi all-
I haven't had any time to look for things to do/see/eat in Atlanta and I'm
flying out there tomorrow. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Theresa
P.S. Mom was eating lunch today. She'll be going into the rehab unit
tomorrow or the next day. So far, so good.
