Have helebores, 3 varieties this year, blooming, but also daffodils, narcissus, and the daphne odorata (smells heavenly!). There was a robin in my tree last week. Saturday was gorgeous here. Built a "cage" for my green veggie garden to keep the darned white crowned sparrows (who have decided this year to be vegitarian) out. Looks like an upside-down playpen over the garden, but I don't care. It is working! I'll post pics soon (of the cage and the flowers: )

Had to go to south Salem today so used that as an excuse to wander home on the back roads. Beautiful day, sunny, high near 60. All the filbert orchards, of which there are many, are in full catkin.
