We have had a beautiful sunny day with a high tempeature of   54 degrees.  Tomorrow will also

be nice.  This is after temperatures in the lower teens a few days ago.  The pond is frozen quite

solidly for the first time in a few years.  My sons used to skate  on it most of the winter, but for the

past several years it has not frozen enough for safe skating.

I managed to get one of the pups off the plant.  It is far from simple- and not sure I did a very good job.  There are numerous more, so this one will be the test case to see if it survives (not sure I actually got the who things off or if it split toward the bottom).  It is hardening off in the garage.  We shall see how this goes.  Today in going to be an inside day.  Wet and windy here.
