Some time back David was telling us about the happy cows in CA.  Said Peta was
upset about the commercials.  Well Peta isn't all.  I just read this small AP
piece in this morning's Fort Wayne paper:

Humane Society Cites Degradation of Media Animals

The Humane Society of the United States' hackles are up over TV shows,
magazines, and ads carrying messages it believes are anti-animal.
A "happy cows" ad campaign by the California Milk Advisory Board is among the
media messages the society has targeted in its annual Foe Paw report.  
"It's positively hypocritical", the society said this week, contending that
the vast majority of cows are "milking machines" living "horrific existences."
