Re: Now Buffalo grass


Don't despair, Pam!  One summer a few years ago we had a grand total of 1/4
inch of rain from mid-May through September.  Even the summer heat
thunderstorms went around us.  18 months ago the reservoirs were down to 20%
capacity, which translates to a lot of cracked mud and borderline pumping
capabilities.  The grass, which I let go dormant every summer anyway, really
looked more dead than dormant.  This past year we had a blizzard and a
hurricane leading the way to record-setting rainfall.  The grass came back
with a vengeance.  Unfortunately so did a lot of weeds, but the lawn was
very green, anyway.  Don't give up on it - it may surprise you!

Although it does sound like the buffalo grass might be nice...
