I think we're talking about two different bottlebrushes. I think Theresa is talking about Callistemon citrinus; Iowa's way too cold for it, Ceres.

Theresa, I have always wanted one but feel my garden is not large enough but
did plant one in a new landscaping we did a few yrs ago. They send out
runners as I understand. Can you try taking runners for a new plant?
