It seems remarkably pest and disease free. Even when the cabbage butterflies
are around, they usually pass it by.

The only drawback I can see for your purpose is that it wilts in the hot
sun. At least is does for me, but it is near the garage, in a lot of gravel,
and gets a good bit of reflected heat.
I'm not sure when/if it would bolt if spring sown. I've only planted it in
the fall, and then it bolts in spring like other fall-sown brassicas.
