RE: bulbmeister

Every year I take pictures in spring of the empty spots in the garden that
could use bulbs. For the last couple years though I haven't gotten around to
ordering any; this summer I figure I will find a couple companies I haven't
bought anything from before and give them a try. I have to admit I am a
sucker for the Old House Gardens catalog, I like the heirlooms. Summer bulbs
tend to be a little trickier for me, we get cold enough in the winter that
things like lycoris aren't real happy, but not so cold to make it worth
digging them. I do bring one pot of cannas into my greenhouse so they can
grow all winter. The previous owner of our house apparently planted
freesias outside at one point, which I haven't bothered digging up, and
every few years one will come through the winter warm enough to flower.
Always startles me to see it.

thanks Cyndi. In that case I guess I shouldn't include them as a source for
my summer bulb talk this spring. But if their new list does become available
( I sent an email asking to be notified) I might just order a few things
from them. I have only found positive feedback about them online.
