Theresa,
I see this Weigela listed most often as zones 4-9, but sometimes only
4-8, perhaps you're at the hot end and W&R isn't happy. Mine, so far,
seems ok, but I just got it last spring. I'm in Z5 and have it facing
east almost under a dogwood tree. What conditions surround yours?
