Re: Snow!/seeds

I think that's what I would've done.

Will do Jim. I wasn't sure how to plant them so I kind of just laid them on
the soil and covered some of them lightly and some of them deeper. I didn't
pull the fuzzies off. We'll see what happens.....

If they germinate I'm sure I'll need a lesson in desert rose care.

Be sure to let me know if those desert rose seeds germinate, Andrea.
Only seedlings of that species will form the large caudex; cuttings
won't. But they are also easy to graft, so if you don't like the color
of the seedling, you can graft on limbs from one with another
color--and the caudex will continue to grow.

Those surely are weird looking seeds, though.

Feels like 30 or so here. Wind is howling, but sunny. Stormed last
night.
We needed it so that's good. I planted my seeds yesterday. Got out in
the
greenhouse with my new seedling heat mat and planted blackberry lily,
candy
lily, ornamental millet, Echinacea 'Mango Meadowbrite' (those were
seeds I
collected from my $18 plant that died), um, let's see, Desert rose
that Jim
sent me, Nemophilia, zinnia seeds that Pam sent me, and a couple of
other
things. When I left them the plastic over the top was condensating
nicely.
I can't wait to see them start to germinate.

Hope you are all staying warm!

58.8, but the wind probably knocks it down another 10.

Front is blowing through here now. I had hoped it
would hold off until
late afternoon. Wind is quite chilly, so I guess
it's mostly indoor
activities for today.
