Re: OT - banks

I believe people everywhere deserve these same oportunities, Theresa, but,
as I mentioned in an earlier, unrelated post, it's important to take care of
yourself. The US is not doing that. I'm not an isolationist; I realize we
belong to a global community, but it is sort of like a man & woman should
look after the needs of their own children before they help the guy down the
street (admittedly, a more severe degree of need by the neighbor might take
precedence over some of the milder needs of your own kids, eg. the tsunami)

Maybe I view the lost jobs more seriously than some people. Yes I have a
job, but after bills are paid there's not a plug nickel left for food or gas
for the car. I'd like to see the US admin make an effort to keep some of
these jobs here. Selfish? Ok, I guess I am. I "want(s) (a) decent job(s)
and a living... (I have) hopes and wishes and needs (are)
not determined by artificial governmental boundaries." But I'm not greedy
and have no desire for power. I've worked hard since I was 12 years old,
paid for an education twice, paid taxes, and I know there are many others in
this country in the same boat.

Anyway, I shouldn't have brought it up. Didn't mean to thrash everyone with
my gripes. All I really meant originally was that I found it interesting
that they seemed to be hiding the name of their bank.
