Well, the females are not too hard on the fences. It's the billy goats. They are incredibly strong. And the other thing you have to worry about is that they have a tendancy to get their heads stuck in the fence (grass is greener type thing). We do a head check every evening to make sure one doesn't have it's neck stuck. Usually (I say usually but there is always an exception) once they've done that, that don't stick their head in there again cause it's not much fun for them. If you get them, you really need to be able to check on them twice a day. Keeping the coyotes at bay is another reason you want a good fence. They just love goats.

Jesse,
That is a great looking site. I still wish we could have some goats but everyone warns me that I need to really be sure my fences are in great shape. The farm is about 30 minutes from us so a little hard to manage.

Like I told Cathy, it's being updated right now. We took pictures yesterday of all the babies. If you wait a few days and look again...you'll see all these darling babies on there under "KIDS". They are just so sweet.

Jesse,
What is your website for your goats?

Sorry it took me so long to get back with you all...I've been so sick the last 4-5 days. Some icky virus going around. Missed part of work friday, sick all weekend and I'm home today. The last count for baby goats...24. And we will have about that many new babies in March/April. Wow. Our website is getting out there now...just sold six of the new babies via website. They put a deposit on six babies, and will pick them up when they are weaned. And our awesome billy..we are now getting stud fee on him at $250.00 a pop. Cool. Needless to say...our family has been busy. Took in two stray dogs...one I was trying to rescue from downtown traffic. It's a blue/red heeler mix. The other, a chihuahua that somebody dumped off at the local grocery store. It was 15 degrees that night and he was shaking uncontrolably...so my girls brought him home. Like I need more dogs. Oh well. I can't let them suffer.
