Hi Folks
Still waiting for the rain to abait. Just showers at this point but everything we wear is wet. It's supposed to stop any time now. Ok, not really I can hear it getting heavier as I write.
We got most of the flotsam picked up yesterday in a driving rain storm. I have a few more picks to show you but now that Donna has mentioned what was wrong I might even be able to figure it out...maybe.
The small greenhouse that had the ripped plastic has to have both sides rebuilt. That's my propagation house and fortunately the heat was still working so I didn't lose anything. The pots you see floating around were not my plants they belonged to another property. That guy sells Subarus and all of his cars were inundated.
Kitty I don't have insurance on the greenhouses beyond liability since they don't belong to me but even if I did I wouldn't place a claim. The repairs won't be that expensive and it would probably raise my rates.
If I haven't told you this before for the month of December in primarily the last two weeks of the month we have received over 18" of rain. And Pam, if I could, I would gladly give you some of this. I almost think your situation is worse than mine. I hate droughts. I'm not that keen on floods either mind you but I really hate droughts.
My god it's pouring again.
David

What a mess is putting it mildly. Glad that most of the plants are fine, although wondering about those laying around the outside and if some are now in the next county..... Wondering if the mess is from the wind or water? On the news here they did a brief comment about how you folks are having Hurricane force winds.... Do you know how David faired in storm 2 ? Donna where it was raining hard here this morning, wish I could share with you Pam... --- Theresa <tchessie1@sbcglobal.net> wrote:Hi all- David asked that I post this for you all- he was having problems getting it sent through.
