I asked Tony Morosco of the SFBG (1) when their D. imperialis started
to flower, and (2) if there were any back numbers of the Plant-of-the-Month
squirreled away. Here's what he said (sounds like Chris should offer SFBG
Mallorn's services):

Jim,
We've had sporadic bloom from some clones almost year round (probably a factor
of our weather patterns), but I'd say most start flowering in late October.
The plant of the month feature is fairly informal. We do have binders in our
library of past features, going back many, many years. Since moving the feature
to the website, I've implored our webmaster to keep copies of past plants, but
so far she hasn't found the time. The few I've squirreled away personally can
be found here:

Our "photo gallery" of the gardens on the website is deplorable in my opinion, I
apologize we do not have anything better at this time.
Best Wishes,
Tony
