Bring gloves, knee pads, plastic refuse bags--and, for days like today, shades, hats, and sunblock.

Nah, John wouldn't care, he loves a party! He pretty much goes with the
flowand gets along with everyone. As Karen (stitch) mentioned, we are becoming a clump here, so maybe we should plan a tour....it would be a long day, but we could visit mygarden,Vera's, Andrea's, Karen's, Kathy's and Chris's. Day two could be Cathy and
Ceres.. who else is close there?
Maybe we should plan a progressive dinner tour? Breakfast at my place,
lunchat Vera's and dinner at Chris's? Donna Ok- forget it, I was just dreaming.... need more sleep! :)-----Original Message----- From: owner-gardenchat@hort.net [o*@hort.net] On Behalf Of Zemuly Sanders Sent: Tuesday, January 03, 2006 2:45 PM To: gardenchat@hort.net Subject: Re: [CHAT] drought I am always up for a road trip. O.K., since my life seems very chaotic at the moment and I don' t have
time to do the planning....if somebody will plan this wonderful get
together....I WILL BE THERE! Just to meet everybody face to face would
be so AWESOME.

WOW...what a group we have here. Everybody willing to chip in andsendPam more plants. I love this group. And Pam..you KNOW you can have whatever I have..no problem. We have had a horrible drought inOklahomaas well. Not as bad as Texas...but pretty bad. I figured what lives,
lives. What dies....well, I'll just shop some more.

Pam, I've got pineapple sage, too. It didn't spread as much as normal

Ican
get you some from here. Also, I'm sure I'll have some daylilies. If
youcan tell me how to start some caryopteris for you, I'd be glad to do
that
for you too. (Weigela is not something I have, unfortunately, nor
anyPineapple sage or Wild Thing salvia.) Let me know how to help and I'll get it out to you. Pineapple sage croaked, the caryopteris (four of them) also, even the Russian sage which likes dry conditions, Ithinkall of three of those are toast too. Even my big Wild thing salvia isn't looking too good. My weigela is a goner, going to replace it w/ a bigrosemary. No telling if any of the grass will come back. If not, I'll just lettheweeds take over the lawn. Been keeping all my viburnums well watered andtheroses. I think they will be OK, but only March will tell. Most ofthemints and purple coneflowers are history too. Some daylilies have
disappeared, but they may be hunkering down, at least I hope so. All
I'mplanting next Spring are rosemary, lavender, thyme and salvias. And
Iwill
replace the purple coneflowers. They're a must w/ a bird & butterfly
sanctuary. I may do a few peppers in pots, because I must have my
peppers.
But I won't plant a big bed of them again. Ten months of this. It's
crazy.
Thanks for letting me vent Chris. I can't tell you how badly I want
totake all the flood waters and redirect them to Oklahoma & Texas. On 1/2/06, Chris Petersen wrote:Pam, Have you lost a lot of plants?
