I'm so jealous. But thank you, I'll be glad to see the pictures! I have a Nuccio's Pearl in the basement and it had buds all over it and during my worst back problems I couldn't get down to water and all the buds are dark and falling off now. I wanted to cry. But next year, it will be bigger and more blooms so there ya go. It seems to like the basement OK. Cool temps, and a good bit of light from the windows and the lights I have up. The leaves look great.

Andrea, I promise to take a picture of my camellia once it blooms and send it to you! Theresa Andrea Hodges wrote:David, let me just say, midwestern friendliness extends MUCH further
than southern hospitality. I don't know where people get the idea that
southerners are so friendly. Present chat company excluded of course!
THe people up here (the majority that is) seem much friendlier than the
Beaufortonians. Or Charlestonians. Everyone is pleasant and says hello
and smiles and says please and thank you. Even the people that work in
the fast food restaurants are friendly. THAT was really amazing.
I know there are exceptions everywhere, but so far I've been welcomed
with open arms by everyone I've met. And they are all just thrilled (no
joke) that my dad and his wife are moving here too.
I do miss the winter weather of the south and the fact that spring is
still a gazillion years away it seems. The camellias are in full bloom
in SC. I miss that a lot.
I'm doing just fine. Thanks for asking. I hope you and Linda are well and that the damage has been minimal.
Also, I'm getting ready to set up my DSL line here in a few minutes so
then I'll be able to downloan photos much faster and read my email
regularly since I'll have my outlook back. I HATE this yahoo account!
Ta ta!

Andrea, I haven't heard from you since your big move. I hope that all is
going well and that the midwestern friendliness has been extended to you.
Hope all is well. I'm sure it's a little colder than you are used to. If I
can get my act together and keep my brain focused I will share some pics
with you soon

Good Lord. I hope the insurance companies don't give all of these people a fit about repairs and such. Thank goodness all of the hibs are safe. David, my prayers are with all of you.
