I would drape some shade cloth over the top. It's inexpensive and very effective. You can find it at a good nursery or nursery supply place. I would think it would be less than $20. Depending on the cloth you use you can filter 60, 50 or 40% of the sun.

That IS a purple flower and dead georgeous!
I have one of those little (6x8) greenhouses, South facing. My problem is that once the sun hits the roof of the gh the upper part gets much too warm, since the little ceramic heater, set to shut off at 50, is on the ground. The answer, I guess, would be to either get some fabric to shut out some of the sun, or a fan to hang off the upper part. What do you think.
