Re: Nursery help!

Hi Chris

I got all of my permits at the state level. What you need is to know what other states need and then go from there. You have to worry about S.O.D. (Sudden Oak Death) if you are in an area that gets that. Brown snail certification is necessary for some states. Really your best bet is to go and talk with your Ag. folks. They will have all of the info.

Hi everyone,

So I'm trying to figure out what permits I need to run a mailorder
nursery and am having a bear of a time finding them.

Does anyone out there know which federal ones are required?

I found PPQ FORM 586 - Application for Permit to Transit Plants and/or
Plant Products through the U.S. Is that all I need at the federal
  level?

Chris (who wishes this stuff was more clear)
