Re: computer trouble

Yep- Silly me- the FIRST thing I should have done was to update the antivirus and set it to protect. Actually, I should have turned it on first, and then once I got linked online updated it immediately. never in my wildest dream did I think it would happen so quickly- by the time I decided to update it (I did get that done- but barely) the thing melted down. I managed to start the virus scan, but it wouldn't finish. Rats. Maybe on another day when I'm filled with patience (Hmmm lets see that should be about the time of the next blue moon) I'll try again.

Join the club- my desktop I finally got hooked to the home network and hence the internet. Well- within the first 20 minute, before I got the virus scan upgraded and inplace, that desktop got a virus and pretty much melted down. I tried for resurrect it and some of the stuff on it for a couple of hours, but then gave up and eventually will have to take it in somewhere to see what can be done. Fortunately I use my laptop the most, so I'm still live and functional. But how frustrating!!!! Man, do some people have too much time on their hands to cause problems!
