We do hypertufa every year, and we give demonstrations at every event held at the WTREC (formerly known as the UT Experiment Station). WTREC is the West Tennessee Research and Education Center. I wonder who ever decided to start using that long name. :o)

Cyndi,We were going to do this at our Dec meeting but decided we needed to be outside or at least where we could make a bigger mess. One girl offered to let us come to her house next July to make them. She is getting all the supplies and telling us how much to pay her. I think she doesn't know what she is getting herself into. One time I was in charge of teaching everyone to make the hypertuffa pots. What a mess... but we all want to do it again.Tricia----- Original Message ----- From: "Johnson Cyndi D Civ 95 CG/SCSRT" <cyndi.johnson@edwards.af.mil>To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Friday, January 12, 2007 10:06 AM Subject: RE: [CHAT] master gardener class ideas?Ooooh...stained glass stepping stones? I think more people would do it right if they knew more aboutit.I educate people at work all the time. They really just don't know. Another idea might be about water issues...how to construct rain gardens...how to save water but keep your plants going. What toplant indry areas? When to plant to make sure roots get established. Since the cooking shows continue to be popular, what about somethingon"eating your plants"...covering veggies and herbs in your area and flowers to add to spring and summer dishes. You could follow up with dealingwith things that eat your plants before you do.
