Re: now trips- was master gardener class ideas?

The link I sent is a neighborhood thing that is just getting started. I know
most of the speakers and vendors personally. I am going mostly for the seed
exchange and to say Hi as it has been awhile since I have been active with
most of them. (the last couple of years flew by and job and family
responsiblities have kept me away for the most part.)

I would love to attend
many things, but I do work Mon-Fri and have just cut down to no Saturdays.
Every once in awhile, I do a stress release weekend- taking a friday and/or
mon off which my boss goes along with.

I agree, at this time of year you
never know about the weather and being able to attend.

Craig is excellent at
designs. We did the chicago garden show together a number of years ago. My
only grip with him is he never cleans the rocks before installing in place.
This leads to a muddy pond which never clears before the opening of the
exhibits.... by the end they are clear from the filtration in a 10day show,
but the inital viewing could be so much better...sigh...

Donna, Horticulture Magazine
has sympiums at Chicago Botanical Center Feb 1 &
Madison Botanical Center Feb
13. I would love to go to Madison but this time
of year I don't like to
invest in an event that I may be unable to get to.
Notice the ad in the
mag of the Harmonious Planting Design which includes
a fabulous photo which
states it is a Craig Bergmann Design and he is also one
of the speakers. I
was so impressed with his presentation at ISU in Nov and
would really like to
hear him again. Rich, what was your thoughts about
him?
