Know what you mean about the temp falling, we're supposed to go to -7 tonight with a high of 11 tomorrow, then somehow highs in the 40s or 50s by the weekend. That should reduce the snowcover (10") some. Hope it doesn't all go away, those freeze-thaw cycles aren't too good for the plants.
