Home Depot does not even sell Bradfords anymore. We now recommend Cleveland pear trees. Incidentally, Bonnie, all our trees come from nurseries in East TN.

I agree about the bradfords...on our flight from Chicago to Oklahoma, a woman talked about the ice storms and said that in Tulsa most of the bradfords just split right down the middle. I know a lot of people like them but in our area they just constantly break from winds and ice that I don't think them worth it.[Original Message] From: Theresa W <tchessie1@sbcglobal.net> To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Date: 1/4/2008 12:10:26 PM Subject: Re: [CHAT] Rain? Maybe.YES! We also need the rain here- but I could live without the 45 mph winds. I have 2 bradford pears near my house- makes me nervous. Theresa Bonnie Holmes wrote: > I wish it were raining here.
