Re: weather

I know what you mean about the privet! It's coming up everywhere. Seems like it used to be only locust trees and sumac that come up all over the yard. There must be some awesome root system going on under ground!

Zem, I was thinking the same thing. We were up to 69 yesterday and are
supposed to be the same today. Everything has buds. This year seems to be
following the past...very warm early spring. The privet is taking
advantage and spreading everywhere...it is still green and I have pulled up
at least five seedlings in the past few weeks.

It was in the upper 70s yesterday and today it's in the lower 70s. Not
surprisingly, we are under a tornado watch until 4:00 this afternoon. I
noaticed today that the flowering quince is blooming, which it normally
does
this time of the year. I've also got Vinca major blooming, which is not
normal. My poor plants are going to be as confused as they were last
year I
fear. I'm just hoping we don't have another killing freeze in mid-April!
