Liberty Hyde Bailey? That's pretty cool. He's on the list of the people I wish I could have met.

Thanks, Daryl, that was just fascinating. I've been meaning to tell you all that when I was at my aunt's last month I picked up a picture of my uncle, her brother, presenting an award to Liberty Hyde Bailey at Cornell in 1948. Bailey was the most renowned naturalist of his time. It's a pretty cool picture. I have another one of the same uncle and Juan Peron made at another occasion. <LOL>My uncle was very involved with agriculture and was head of the Virginia Beautiful Commission for many years before his death in 1989.zem----- Original Message ----- From: "Daryl" <pulis@mindspring.com>To: "gardenchat" <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Saturday, January 12, 2008 2:48 PM Subject: [CHAT] Weed LawsAmmunition for those who need it. http://www.epa.gov/greenacres/weedlaws/JMLR.html#NATURAL%20LANDSCAPE
