Stay Dry and safe..... looks terrible out there by the news reports.
 
Here, we are having ice storms.  Had one last night and another expected
today, then snow later in the weekend.  sigh.
 
Last week we had ice fog.  Something new around here, guess it is due to the
global warming or something....

Yep it stopped last night for the most part but we are supposed to get
another round today. Discovered my rain gauge in the back is not working
quite right, it is one of those ones that "floats" when the water goes
in but the floaty thing is old enough that it's something of a sponge.
It had 2.5 inches in it from yesterday but we're not sure if that's
right. I have one in front but the sycamore grew enough to overhang it,
so it only showed 1.5 inches. For us 3 inches in just a few days is
quite a bit.
The poor horses are standing in water, they are in their 3-sided
shelters which is usually good enough but the water is not draining away
now. There's no other place for them to get out of the rain so we left
them in, but tonight we'll probably turn them out again - they might get
wet but at least the ground is not so swampy.   
Is this stuff all supposed to head east? Are you guys going to get it
too?

Watched the news tonight (something I rarely do) and it looked really
bad
out there Cyndi- Hope you are well-the weather fellow said it was

I looked at the west coast satellite and it looks like all three 
states are getting pretty well drenched. We're getting the usual here, 
alternating sprinkling and drizzling.
