I believe there is a special place in hell for people who abuse animals.  I 
have literally stopped traffic on the state highway through our town to remove 
a box turtle.  The most recent issue of the Sierra Club magazine mentioned 
there are five (I believe) species of turtles being threatened by automobile 
traffic.
