Re: Texas storm...


All high and dry here, in spite of storm surge and some wind.  We were on
the northeast side of the storm, so didn't get the worst winds.  Biggest
problem was power outage.

However, the folks a mile or so east of us in Kemah right on Galveston Bay
didn't fare so well, and the folks in the marina just to the west of us
didn't either (many flooded cars, damage to docks).  Fortunately we're
docked in a much more protected marina.

My biggest chore was moving all the plants off the dock before the water
came up -- now I've got to bring them back!
