Who gets vacation days when you're retired?  I am not retired - still work as 
hard as ever as a freelance indexer - but my dh has been for ten years now.  
He is involved in so many volunteer activities that are so time-demanding that 
we rarely ever have a week clear of commitments.  However, it's true I can 
always turn down a job (rarely ever have) and he can always decline to do 
whatever  (never, never does).
