That fuchsia, or one very much like it, was the very first plant I propagated. Must have been 7 or 8 at the time. My aunt had a very large plant. I put two or three "slips" in a glass of water. When they rooted, my father built a hanging basket for them and hung it among his orchids. Within a year or so, his lathhouse had more fuchsias than orchids. He was a mailman, and whenever he saw a different fuchsia on his route, he would ask for a cutting.
