I would think they could use my part of the tax dollars to publish it in plain old ASCII. The last book I wrote for the "gummit" [as Reagan pronounced it] was deliverable in ASCHII.

I have compiled an 80+ page book for sale at our MG plant sales. Books are
expensive to print, but a CD is cheap. I changed the format of my book from
.wpd to .pdf to put on the CD so anyone can use it.
Lest you mistake my meaning, Jim, I do agree with you. They are a pain. But
they have the prerogative to use their preferred format.

No... but isn't PDF a pain in the touche? Why these bloated files are preferred by, among others, government agencies, is beyond me.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of all or most of the plants that have won the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM)? I can get them at the RHS website in .pdf form, but I don't really want to print 73 pages. I'd just like to copy and paste into my own format; could then possibly get it down to 15 or 20 pages.
