Here's a couple of my favorite photos of Spot the Cat.  He was with me for
20 yrs.  The first shot is not posed.  He was so regal.  When I ordered a
plain glossy enlargement of this photo, it came back as a soft focus on
canvas stock, like a painting. I don't know if it was a mistake or a ploy to
get a pet-lover to fork over more money.  Anyway, The scan is from this
softened photo, so it is not very sharp.  I sharpened it slightly before
putting it up on Yahoo.
