Spot was my first lasting relationship with a cat.

The first was Google Eyes, but my mom made him stay in the basement and he
eventually ran away.  Then there was Gilda, but she got run over.

My boyfriend and I saw some kids dragging a cat down an alley with a rope
around its neck and he stopped them for a chat.  While talking, he gently
picked up the cat and asked about it.  While they talked, he slipped the
rope off. Then he said goodby to the boys and walked away.  "Hey Mister!
Wait!  That's OUR cat! "  He replied, "Not Anymore."

He was mine for 20 yrs and saw me through all sorts of tough times.
