Re: Slugger pic

OHHHHH...and they don't know what's wrong with her yet? She will go on
the prayer list as well. It's good that she has owners who love her.
That's such a great story.

Just had an email from a dear friend whose cat is ill. This cat is the
mother of my two
younger girls. Her story is that she was abandoned in a house that had been
owned
by the county when they had to evict the tenant for various abuses. Seeing
that she was largely pregnant, the staff at the big house at Lasdon Park and
Arboretum adopted her,
and kept her hidden from the authorities in an upstairs room until her
kittens were old
enough to be taken away. We took two, and a staff member took the other two.
By
that time her presence was known, and the staff were instructed to dispose of
her, at
which time Gary saw her and fell in love with her and demanded her for his
birthday gift. Gary lives with an older man in a house that is pretty much like
a museum - everything just perfect. Bill, had never had a pet, and didn't
want one. It has taken them nearly three years
to adjust, but they are both besotted now. Missy, the cat has not been an
easy pet.
She apparently has no voice - never makes a sound - and when they took her to
the
vet, found that she had no teeth on one side of her mouth. She had clearly
been abused
before the Lasdon staff rescued her. Gary is distraught - he's a neurotic
musician and
very sensitive to such things. Please give a prayer for Missy's recovery.
