Angelica gigas is hardy in zone 5. commonly referred to as Korean Angelica,
Purple Angelica. We have 2 of them in urns at the display gardens and they
come back every year. I got one called 'Vicar's Mead' several years ago
from Heronswood, but I don't think I gave it enough sun. Died out after a
few years.
